The Mobile Times has reported on India’s telecom trade since 2010, starting as a monthly print newsletter for mobile retailers and distributors. This page explains how we decide what to publish and how we keep it accurate.

Who we write for

Our readers are mobile retailers, distributors and telecom professionals, along with anyone who follows India’s telecom and phone market. We cover what changes their business: device launches and prices, operator plans and tariffs, TRAI and DoT decisions, network rollouts and market numbers.

How a story is made

  • Every story starts from a primary source: an official announcement, a regulator document (TRAI, DoT), company results or a named industry source.
  • Prices, specifications and dates are checked against the official source before publishing. Where a figure is a leak or an estimate, we say so clearly.
  • We link to our sources so readers can check them.
  • We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every story is reviewed and approved by an editor before it is published, and the editor is responsible for its accuracy.

Independence and advertising

Advertising and sponsored content are always labelled. Advertisers do not decide what we report or how we report it.
