Samsung recently unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, its newest smartwatch designed to challenge the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Packed with cutting-edge technology and robust features, this smartwatch aims to set new standards in the wearable market.

Premium Build and Display

The Galaxy Watch Ultra features titanium cushioned frames and a 1.5-inch Sapphire Crystal screen. The AMOLED panel offers a resolution of 480×480 pixels and an impressive brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring clarity in all lighting conditions.

First to Run on One UI 6

This smartwatch is the first to run One UI 6 based on WearOS, right out of the box. Samsung’s latest software introduces several new health-tracking features, including:

  • Energy Score: Similar to Fitbit’s Readiness Score, it evaluates your physical and mental conditions across sleep, activity, sleeping heart rate, and variability.
  • Sleep Score and Metrics: Offers detailed analysis with new metrics like movement during sleep, sleep latency, and heart and respiratory rates. It can also detect Sleep Apnea in selected regions.
  • Advanced Glycation (AGEs) Index: Provides insights into your metabolic health and biological aging process.

Durability and Performance

The Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts 10ATM water resistance and IP68 dust and water resistance. It also includes an additional physical button for enhanced functionality.

Powered by the Exynos W1000 chipset, built on a 3nm process, the watch comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The 590mAh battery ensures up to 100 hours of usage with power-saving mode enabled.

Advanced Sensors and Availability

The new BioActive Sensor is 30% more accurate than previous models. The watch also includes a temperature sensor, accelerometer, barometer, gyro sensor, and light sensor. Available in one screen size, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is priced at $649 (approx. Rs 54,200) and available for purchase from July 12.
