The cheapest way to get OTT apps in India is often through your recharge, not a separate subscription. All three private operators sell ₹200 packs with 30GB and bundled apps, and many plans include JioHotstar, Prime Video or Netflix.

This guide compares those bundles and explains where each big film or show tends to land. Subscription prices change often, so check each app before paying. Last checked: November 2, 2026.

OTT bundles compared

OptionPriceIncludes
Jio OTT Pass₹200, 28 daysYouTube Premium, JioHotstar Mobile, Prime Video Mobile, 12 more through JioTV
Airtel Box Office Pack₹200, 28 daysPrime Video Mobile, ZEE5, JioHotstar Mobile, Xstream Play Premium
Vi Movies & TV₹200, 28 days20 apps including JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5
Airtel Xstream Play Premium₹149 a month20 apps, no data
JioHome 30 Mbps combo₹555 a monthWi-Fi, 1,000+ TV channels, 12 apps
Airtel ₹1,199 broadband₹1,199 a month100 Mbps, Netflix, Prime, Apple TV+, 350+ channels

All need checking in the operator’s app, as benefits change. Packs need an active plan.

Mobile editions are not the same as full plans

Many bundles give mobile editions, which work on one phone and not on a TV, and Prime Video Mobile is SD with ads. If your family watches on a TV, a broadband bundle such as JioHome or Airtel’s 100 Mbps plans is usually the better fit. Our guides to Jio OTT Pass, the Airtel Box Office Pack and the Vi pack have full details.

Where big releases go

Rights can differ by country. Dhurandhar 2 streamed on JioHotstar in India and on Netflix abroad, so a title you see online may not be on the same app here. Live sport depends on the rights holder, as the FIFA World Cup packs with ZEE5 showed.

Music is part of the same decision

Apple Music now costs ₹139 a month for an individual, and YouTube Premium costs ₹149. Vi has offered Spotify Premium for three months on selected plans. If you are paying for music and video separately, a bundle may save money, but count only the apps you actually use.

Why this matters for mobile shops

Ask what the customer already pays for. A ₹200 pack is an easy add-on for someone paying for two apps. Always mention that mobile editions will not play on a TV, as this is the most common complaint.
